Determining the suitable weight
The choice of the suitable implant weight is made pre-operatively by the surgeon by temporarily securing a stainless steel test weight (REF 8000 111) to the upper eyelid with wound closure strips. The aim is to determine the minimal weight needed to close the eyelid as completely as possible.
Surgical Procedure - Step 1
The incision is made according to the length of the implant.
Surgical Procedure - Step 2
After identifying the tarsus, a pocket for the implant is prepared. The implant is inserted and fixed with non-absorbable suture.
